Annamaria Russo is a self-taught, modern painter.
Annamaria was born in Naples on September 1s in 1987.
Starting from a very young age, she showed keen interest in drawing. At the age of
12 her passion for portraiture begins, she transforms her work into gifts for loved
ones. Being passionate about the history of art in middle school she meets a teacher
who, noticing her great skills, stimulates her to paint on canvas.But this is not where
she meets her true nature as a painter, since she undertakes a technical institute to
graduate in computer science and afterwards she graduates in Pharmacy,
that "serious job" which her parents have always wanted for her.
However her passion for drawing does not fade, while dedicating very little time to it,
portrait after portrait she finds herself better, more precise, more real even if all this
continues to remain just a moment of personal introversion and nothing more.
It all begins when she meets Angelo Accardi in 2014, who notices her portraits and
strongly encourages her to try painting, becoming for her a mentor from whom she
takes inspiration.Thus begins his approach with colors, first acrylics, then oils and
ends up finding himself very well with those brushes, despite the lack of basic
painting techniques.
